Paper Cuts is a wonderful little exhibition in the Dream Bags/Jaguar Shoes bar on Kinglsand Rd (shoreditch end). The exhibition challenged various scribblers into putting down their pens and getting out their scissors, as all the artwork is paper created. Well worth swinging by.
Made me chuckle.
I’ve always wondered how places get there names. No idea why really, apart from random curiosity. Some quick searching later and I found that Toponymy was the name given to this study.
This is seriously geeky stuff and to me totally fascinating. British toponymy is even more geeky.
Aaaaaaaages back the incredibly talented Mr Hopkinson made some smiley/emoticons for the vinyl vulture forum…well I’ve just found them so I thought I would pinch them and use them here.
So now you can marvel at the pixel perfection too!
:) :D  :( :O  :? :|    doh
So I was talking to my dad today and he told me about this story of an iraqi sniper who was working his way through the entire american army.
Well a little googling kicked up a guardian story that nobody knows if its true or not.
Hey.
Right my domain was languishing in some sort of elephants graveyard for about a year so I’ve finally decided to stick wordpress on here and get posting. I wrote my own publishing system just to see how hard it could be. And to be honest it wasn’t. I had it up and running in about an hour and everything was lovely. Then I started looking into rss feeding and thats when I turned off. ;)
So wordpress does that. And does it well so thats why I’m using it.
