Mingering Mike

A few years ago, a couple of record collectors were rummaging around a market looking to grab some records. As they were searching, they started to find hand drawn covers of fake records, all created in felt-tip pen and all made by the mysteriously named ‘Mingering Mike’.

They posted their finds on the record collecting website ‘SoulStrut’ and the response was phenomenal. Bouyed on by this response, they started to track down the real ‘Mingering Mike’…Well in the end they did find the him. Obviously he was reluctant to talk but after a while he warmed to them and then the madness really started to happen. Now Mike has a website, exhibitions and I believe a book compiling his work.
