Axelrod Anthology

Stones Throw records seems to be putting out an anthology for the great David Axelrod. Does the world need another Axelrod comp? Yeah maybe in this case as the liner notes and packaging are always spot on with Stones Throw releases.

One piece of news caught my eye at the end though…

A DVD release of David Axelrod’s concert at Royal Festival Hall in 2004 is also in the works.

Did I mention I was there for that gig? Let me set the record straight – It was incredible. Straight up mastery in motion. Still brings a wee tear to my eye just thinking about it. Lets hope the DVD does it justice.
